Photographer, Jacksonville, NC and surrounding area

…and basketball photo season has begun!

This is just 3 of the 12 (yes, TWELVE!) teams I’m scheduled to shoot in the next 2 weeks.  Can you say busy?

But I do love photographing childrens’ sports teams…yep, kids are no problem for me : )

Rebecca, revisited

A while back, I did a modeling head-shot shoot with Rebecca Pearcy.  Well, a couple of weeks ago, we decided to do another shoot.  Rebecca said that her husband was trying to get into modeling as well, so she brought him along.  We had a great time, as usual!  She needed business shots done, so we did those, then we did some of her husband, Joel.  Joel suffered some traumatic facial injuries while he was over in the sand box, not even a year ago, but you would never know by looking at him!  He must have had a great team of doctors, because I can’t even see a scar (and no, I didn’t have to photoshop anything).  He’s making a great recovery.  I hope he and Rebecca get the opportunity they’re looking for, to break into the lucrative world of modeling/acting!

Christmas pics!!

I was walking around, shopping, last week, when all of a sudden I saw these awesome, huge, red stockings that were on sale!  I just had to get a couple.  Images of kids popping out of them were dancing in my head as soon as I got them in the car.  Soooo… of course I had to drag my kids to the studio and use them as soon as possible!  The resulting photos came out great!  It really is too bad that I’d already designed and mailed all of this year’s Christmas cards.  These would have made great photos for them!

My Girls

My girls are 7 and 11 (well, almost 12).  They are growing up before my eyes!  I took them over to a spot I’d been eyeballing for months, to do photos.  They love to pose and be silly for the camera!  I hope they grow up strong and confident, but I hope they don’t grow up too fast!  Love you guys!

WELCOME HOME DADDY TAIT!

My good friend  Nikki asked me to shoot her reunion a few months ago.  Afterwards, while talking it over with her husband before he returned, she said he felt that he didn’t want anyone to invade their family moment, so we cancelled it.  A few days later, he changed his mind and as it turns out, after all was said and done, he’s happy they chose to let me hover around the edges, secretly snapping photos.  I love reunions… they are GREAT!! The emotion that shows on the resulting photos is amazing… even though its not MY reunion, I still tear up when I watch it : )

The kids were ecstatic… and Mommy was too!

It was a *very* emotional night.  I am SO happy to see the Tait family together again!!

Leah and Mike’s Engagement Photos

While I was up in PA last week, I had the opportunity to shoot an old friend’s engagement pictures : )  I haven’t seen Leah in about 15 years but she hasn’t changed much.  She’s still the fun and crazy girl I remember from high school!  Thanks Leah and Mike, I had a great time, you guys were a blast to work with!!

PUPPIES!

Well.  Our dog Ziva has unexpectedly had puppies.  They are, so far, just cute hairy blobs.  I know that in a week or so they’ll be mobile and eventually be tearing up my house and chewing my shoes.   So I took advantage of the cute-ness and took pics!

Rebecca’s Headshots, etc

I shot Rebecca Pearcy a couple of weeks ago.  She needed new acting/modeling headshots.  She was SOOO much fun!  We had a great time!

Of course, after we did her headshots, we did a few more photos.  Then I went crazy with Photoshop; its my weakness.
